SITUATION

In 2018, Peoples Church (Fresno, California) launched a three-year, $22 million expansion campaign, including construction of a new children’s complex. It enlisted Pillar to drive support during the planning and permitting stage. GOALS: Maintain interest, participation and contributions through a season of limited visible construction.

ACTION

Pillar Brands redesigned 12 blank walls in a high-traffic interior lobby to boost visibility for the campaign. Floor-to-ceiling vinyl wraps featured large-scale photos and kids’ quotes to elicit emotions and communicate excitement for the construction project. The blank walls transformed into vibrant messages that broadcast student enthusiasm.

RESULTS

The engagement was widespread and immediate. Parents photographed their own children in front of larger-than-life photos of themselves—then shared those photos. The walls put the campaign vision directly before the families who would most benefit from the new construction, and cemented the church’s investment in children. Based on that success, Peoples Church hired Pillar again to design signage and wayfinding for the expanded campus.
