SITUATION

Inspiration Cruises & Tours hired Pillar to address changing trends and develop an annual strategy to impact consumer purchasing decisions. GOALS: Expand the annual brochure into a sequenced omnichannel print and digital approach to build awareness and boost sales.

ACTION

Pillar expanded a single print piece into a more segmented catalog, then added an email marketing campaign across two interest segments—music experiences and Bible conferences—with click-based follow-up emails throughout the year. Digital innovations using AdWords, Facebook, a catalog-aligned microsite, and other channels supplemented the campaign.

RESULTS

In 2018, Pillar’s marketing efforts resulted in a 52% increase in reservations year-over-year and $7.71 million in sales for Inspiration. The cost-effective campaign improved brand awareness and synergy across all platforms, helping Inspiration better segment its audience and deliver relevant content for future campaigns. And though Pillar prioritizes results far above recognition, the increased visibility earned Inspiration the 2018-2019 LUX Travel & Tourism award as the Best Christian Travel Management Company in the world
